Payments and Insurance
Understanding Your Payment Options
We believe financial information should be clear and straightforward. Below, you’ll find information about insurance, self-pay, out-of-network benefits, and other payment considerations to help you understand your options before beginning care.
Insurance
We are in network with select insurance plans, including:
-
Aetna
-
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield
-
Optum Behavioral Health
Insurance coverage and benefits vary by plan. If you plan to use insurance, we encourage you to contact your insurance provider to confirm your mental health benefits, including copays, deductibles, and any authorization requirements.
Out-of-Network Benefits
If we are not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement.
Upon request, we can provide a superbill, or detailed receipt of services, that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider directly to learn more about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
Self-Pay Services
Self-pay options are available if you prefer not to use insurance or if insurance coverage is not the best fit for your needs.
Fees vary based on the type and length of service provided. Current rates and scheduling options can be discussed before beginning services so you can make an informed decision.
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept major credit cards as well as HSA and FSA cards.
Good Faith Estimate
Under federal law, individuals who do not have health insurance or who choose not to use their insurance to pay for services have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges.
If you schedule services 3–9 business days in advance, you will receive a written Good Faith Estimate within 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule services 10 or more business days in advance, you will receive a written Good Faith Estimate within 3 business days after scheduling.
You may also request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services. If requested, a written estimate will be provided within 3 business days of the request.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the charges. Please keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the No Surprises Help Desk at 1-800-985-3059.
